Just bought one of these and would like to know whether it's best to follow the instructions that came with it to erect it, or is there a better or easier way to pitch it

We have a 600, As I remember we pretty much followed the instructions, have somebdoy inside the tent to help hold up the long poles  when putting them under tension.

Takes a bit of putting up at first, so have a few practice attempts and you'll soon get the hang of it, if your garden is big enough!!!!

Don't forget to tie the flysheet to the poles, and remember to untie them before taking down.

We followed the instructions the first time we put ours up..all went well until we reached the part where you put the fly on....2 hours later (and approx 4 massive rows and several bollockings for the kids) we realised we were putting it on back to front

other than that...yeah follow the instructions!

Definately follow instructions, we have a 600, goes up in around an hour, remember to get the misses inside holding the poles up for ease, suppose you can just stand there and listen to her moaning about arms aching if you start rowing again LOL

Hi adrian53 ... great choice of tent!

Generally follow the instructions but they probably still have a few errors in them so don't fret if something doesn't seem right

Trawl through the posts on here and you'll pick up a few other tips.

Happy camping
