They're one of the cheaper frame tents, but still sturdy and will withstand heavy rain and high winds better than most modern synthetic tents.
The only 8 berth frame tent I know of is the Cabanon Espace, but you're talking big money here - even second hand ones on ebay are going for around £500.
I don't know of any camping shops which have a selection of frame tents on display. Best thing I can suggest is that you do a Google search for frame tents and see if you can find a dealer who does have a display, but you may have to travel some distance. Other than that, try the 'camp site search' facility at the top of this page & look for camp sites in your area, then take a drive around them looking for any frame tents pitched on site. If you see one you like I'm sure the owners would be only too pleased to show off their tent to you (we're a vain lot!) - so you get to see one kitted out with equipment, and you'll know how spacious it is
