We have a Sunncamp Marathon, which we like LOTS! But it takes a while to put up and isn't the ideal tent for weekends. What we are looking for now is...

Something around the same size (a different shape is fine, but we like space), with 3 bedrooms (seperate pods, not dividers) for under £300. We like the look of tunnel tents, but can't find a 'cheap' one with 3 seperate rooms. We don't want an Olympic, because it would be nice to have a tent that isn't just a 3 bedroomed version of what we already have.

We are beginning to go round in circles, so any help would be appreciated.

How about the Vango Vista 800dlx - has 3 bedrooms, good living space and we think it is a fantastic tent. I'm sure Go Outdoors have it for £299.

I think the Khyam Indiana is similar to the Vango Vista. Tunnels certainly go up easily!

Thanks everyone, we need a BIG living area because of a 3 year old and a puppy alsation in a large cage (plus the fact I like tents with LOTS of room). Does anyone know what the Sunncamp Haven 800 is like and where we could buy one? UBC have one on display at £295, but say they have sold out and have been waiting 3 weeks for more to arrive

We might be able to order direct from the manufacturer (again), but their prices always seem to be close to RRP.

Paul check out Halfords for the Gelert Skydome 6, 3 bedrom pods and tons of living room space,,,,,,, takes 2 to put up but will only take about 40 mins at £169 its a throw away tent

keeps out wind and rain

Wynnster Mercury 9 Excel (just won one myself and waiting for it to be delivered) Has 3 pods. and a big living area. I got it for long weekends and there are 4 of us in my family. So looks ideal. Takes 2 to put up. Prices vary dramatically. I got mine on Ebay (is brand new and was a bargain).

If you get the Mercury 9 it's pretty much the same as the sunncamp haven 800. I've won the Mercury 9 Excel which also has front and rear porch. Here's a link to the 2005 edition of the Excel

First of all, thanks for all the replies.

I've been out looking at tents today, and I just broke all the rules regarding cost and size. It looks like we'll be getting a Montanna 6 with canopy some time next week.
