Hello Pudd

We are a family of five and find the Outwell Colorado 8 spot on for our needs. Especially good if you get the porch too as this can be used to cook under. Main reason we chose it is if the weather's bad and you have to baton down the hatches for a while (as we did this time last year in Wales) there's loads of space inside for all of us to eat, play, sit around and you can still see the outside world cos of the large windows. Well made and easy to put up too.

As it's a large tunnel though would be inclined to peg it down properly and end (not sides) towards the prevailing wind if you're on an exposed site, and hope the wind doesn't change direction too much! Personally tend to look for a bit of shelter if poss but I'm probably old fashioned like that after reading various stories on here.

Good luck with it, sure you'll like it.

Cheers

Simon

We got the Colorado 5 and love it.  When it's cold and wet we can sit inside and still see out.  Quick and easy to erect.  Lots of lovely space (there are only 2 of us).  Hubby fell in love with the tent when he first saw it and we haven't regretted buying it once.

My guides own a Colorado 8 which we have had for 3 years now. Up until last week it had only been used in good to fair weather. However last week despite pegging down fully, using all guys and pegging points 4 of the leg poles snapped at the top joints and 1 roof pole was damaged. Now looking for somewhere to get it repaired.
