hi thought i would let you know i bought one of the electric coolboxes from lidl £27.99 i was in the shop dead on 9 and in less than 2 minutes they had all gone. i have had it running since yesterday ,ive put my fridge thermometer inside and it is as cold as my fridge, so looking forward to using it when we go away in the summer instead of seeing if the sites will freeze my cool bottles.
Hi, I saw that they were selling these cool boxes on one of their leaflets. I was going to head over to the one closest to us at the weekend but it might be a wasted journey if they seem to be selling like hot cakes! The BigW has them for sale too at roughly the same price.
Might just take the drive on the off chance because we're needing one for the summer holiday. Does it come with a 240v plug as well as a 12v?
Wilkinsons are selling electic cool boxes for £19.99 - they seem quite good as we only plugged it in for a short journey and it was very cool inside. We were going to pay £15.99 for a normal cool box so feel we have quite a bargin.
Asda are selling 12v electric cool boxes now for £27.95, I bought one of these last week and they are very good. The stores in Hull seem to have plenty in stock and they are by far the cheapest I have seen.
Don't want to teach anyone to suck eggs but beaware if you use this from your cars 12 volt source without the engine running it will kill the battery within hours, I have a toyota hi-ace with TWO 500amp batterys and the cool box drainned both battery's within 5 hours
We bought one of the Lidl coolboxes last year, only runs on 12v, not mains. However, we plug it in the car for the journey to the campsite and then rely on ice packs until it's time to come home. Also take frozen food with us and eat it as it defrosts. It would be great if it also could be plugged into the ehu - but so far we've been ok.
Got myself one today, went to Wilkinsons as someone said they are doing them for £19.99. work off 12volt supply. Found one in Halifax marked £6.99. Got to check out and found it had been wrongly priced, should have been £19.99. But guess what, because it had been marked at £6.99 they said they would have to let me have it at that price, what a bargain, well done Wilkinson's, that is real customer service, expected to be asked to pay full price as i am sure that is what most shops would have said. If anyone is still lookingfor one of these the Halifax store has a number left, though I think they were re pricing them as i left.
