Yeah redz is right... it seems outwell is selling very very well at the minute.... we were lucky to have the tent we wanted for mid june and I know the montana 12 is just as popular....

Did Outwell seriously underestimate how popular they would be this year or is this common thing to happen....

Its not the size of the tent...its how you pitch it..

The popular Montana range sold out last year as well.  They did under estimate the popularity of the Nebraska.  There was a thread in about January time when we got our frist real glimpse of the Nebraska and I made some contact with Outwell to get some early information about it.  Another member on here Dave ( Concorde ) also emailed Outwell and got a response regarding the Nebraska XXL.  Outwell said that they had not proved favourable with the dealers and that they were going to restrict supply of them.  They expected the Nebraska XL to be more popular.  I think they expected the Montana to tower ahead.  The Montana stocks are going extremely quickly and I suspect that in about a month or so they will be very difficult to get.  This is probably the last delivery of the Nebraska XL for this year and dealers are already struggling to supply everyone on their waiting lists.

Welcome to the forum Diybill !   Lots of good stuff on here.

The Monty 12 is a great tent - we are a family of 5 and find the tent gives us loads of living and bedroom space - with full standing headheight throughout.   For the space available in the tent, the rectangular footprint is also more compact than some of the dome style tents.   Outwell is also recognised as being one of the best for quality and customer service.

So - are Monty 12's OK ?   I can certainly recommend them !    Now you just need to get hold of one ......  I was lucky enough to buy a hardly used 2005 one from Steve (Langleys) - I'm now waiting for him to get bored with his Nebraska .....

As far as heating tents go - no idea since we don't bother - just need warm enough sleeping bags etc.

Cheers, Dave

Hi,

can't help on tent but can tell you we have a gas parabolic heater which takes large(only downside) gas bottle. Obviously can't leave it running overnight but toasty on cold evenings and warms things up before pyjama time.

Happy camping.

Hi,

We use an electric fan heater purchased for £6 from B&Q. Does a brilliant job when needed which in our Monty 6 isn't very often.
