Hi Samantha,  I'm sure someone will be along with a knowledgeable answer soon, but we just pack away exactly the same way, wet or dry.  I get it up to dry asap, but its been a week or so before now, and its always been ok.  If it keeps raining it keeps raining, theres not a lot you can do about it is there?  Anyway they dry off really quickly, I shouldn't worry too much.  Have fun!

All the best,
Alison

I think I'd try and get it dried within a couple or three days, otherwise you are in danger of mildew getting into it.

If it is still raining at this time, either sacrifice a bedroom for a night and spread it out to air it, or hang it out on the line anyway. It will still get aired that way.

When packing it in the rain try and always fold it clean to clean, and dirty to dirty.

We end up with it hanging all over the place inside normally, just to dry it out.

aint the like watching paint dry asking how long it takes to dry a tent?

it will be dry when its err dry and not before

dont store for more than 4 days less if its warm, evenif its raining outside and you still got a wet tent get it out   in it to freshen the tent up.

I think I'll go camping when you do in future if the weathers has been good thus far. Maybe you should stick your dates on the forum, then we can all get some decent weather!!!

We have packed our tent away wet on a few occasions. Don't leave it packed away for more than 2-3 days and it should be ok. We've also packed it away wet due to condensation (packing early in the morning) and again you need to get it back out and up again within a couple of days.  Then leave it up in your garden, or wherever, until you've had a good dry spell.  You're ok then, pack it away again.  We just pack up the same wet or dry, it's the amount of time you leave it packed away wet that can do the damage.

Hi BOD - You are bang on there mate. It is the football club site. Taken  2005 TT week. An absolutely cracking spot. A clubhouse bar across the pitch, which means you can stagger back to the tent at night, and if you don't make it, you wake up within crawling distance ... Marvellous.

Peter who runs it, is a geat bloke, always has a chat with you. In fact, if there was an event in the Olympics for talking, I think he'd be a top contender.

I'm doing the MGP this year instead of the TT, but have booked a passage for TT 2007.

Do you live nearby BOD?
