This.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=229765&categoryId=31306&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=31306&crumb=33937&varient=&CarSelectorCatalogId=&CarSelectorGroupId=

I know that Halfords would be the obvious answer. BUT.I don't need the cooker (i have 2), just the "heater attachment" Any ideas where I could get one. Or if anybody has one is it worth it?

Thanks

Adam

scroll to bottom//http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/includes/shopsearch.php?shop_id=877&search_string=STOVE-HEATER-ADAPTOR&offset=30

i dont think the stove and heater together cost much more on ebay either m8

i saw one on another site today and it was 39 quid so have a good search around you might be better with a different heater

to add you might get more replies if you posted this question in the equipment section some good info in there

The ones woolworths had did not have that fitting...They had like a griddle heater attachment like this

http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/ishop/877/shopscr2129.html

And I would not reccomend them.... I asked to look at one in the shop... she removed it and it was bashed and bent....and she put it behind the counter... other than that they looked ok...so I bought one...

Got home and removed it from box.... found out it had a dint in the back panel and the housing around where the gas bottle goes was bent... I straightened out that piece as it was just the housing.... I inserted a gas bottle following the instructions only to find it hissing like mad.... I tried 5 times to reinsert the gas cannister...and every time there was a lot of leaking gas...

I took it back to Woolworths with a spare gas can with me and showed her the problem....I went and got a replacement and tested it there and there...firstly this too was damaged and secondly this stove leaked also...

I told them I wanted my money back and that these stoves were a disgrace and dangerous and should all be checked further before selling any more....They never made any attempt to do any of that.....and just took the bad stoves out the back....today a week and half later the isles are still stacked with boxes of them and none look to have been opened at all which is a disgrace...

I later bought 2 Voyager stoves from poundstretcher for less....but even then I had to look through a few before I found fully undamaged ones....and there were no leaks from the gas cannister....

Bit expensive but argos have these :-

I suppose if you shop around you'd find one cheaper

I'd go for a separate heater - like the one fin had inserted the link for.  I have one of these and would recommend them.   Though if you shop around you may be able to get them cheaper than argos.

Thanks for all your help. I'll probably go for the proper heater, annoyingly I saw one in B&M (discount store) the other week while I was away for 15 quid. Just didn't think to get it.

I saw one there too.  Thought about getting it as a back up - but didn't.  Wish I had now.

these are both good bargains but whats the difference in both these heaters (anything??) or am I being a thicko - I saw the same heater in lour local winfields earlier for £49.99 so I thought no chance as I knew they could be bought on ebay but they both look the same..but 1 gives you 4 cans free...if they are both the same you would be aswell getting the cheaper one and buying 4 cans of gas as they only cost £6 a pack would you not...?

and are either both safe for a tent..and by that I mean ventilation...you dont have to leave windows up do you as it would only be on for an hour or so and certainley not left on all night...

Got to agree I'd go for the cheaper one and get the gas canisters separately.   Both the same apart from the colour,   These are the heaters that were in B&M for about £15 a couple of weeks ago.

I use mine in my tent - I dont have windows open or anything - just make sure that there is ventalation.  Just use common sense.
