Thanks Rachel - its really good to hear first experiences as it gives me some tips!! I'd love to practice putting it up at home but the garden is so small, I'd probably be over the neighbours garden...lol! Lots of people have been recommending getting stuff from the pound shop, so I thought I'd get all of my food containers from there.
I am now reading about the electric cables as it didn't even occur to me if I want to bring anything electric. Has anyone got any good sites or stores they could recommend to get a reasonably priced one. The cheapest 3-plug point one I have found so far is £54.99.
All in all, I am really glad we decided on camping. I've been ill for a long time so haven't been able to go abroad and as I had to give up work we had to tighten our purse strings, but its turned out to be so inexpensive and looks like we can visit some really great places. I've been saying for years that I want to visit more places in the UK and having the little one, it will be a great experience for him too. Always remember holidays when I was little, staying on caravan sites, had great fun.
Thanks again!
Diane
