hi there, just wondering what you all regard as the best make of tent.
we are lucky enough to have two cabanons - a champgne frame tent which stands up to all sorts of weather and a cabanon tango dome tent which is just about as sturdy as our frame tent. they are just what you need when you are up in the highlands!!!!!!!!
I do envy you the Cabanons - I have seen them at a couple of tent displays and think they are marvellous. Only thing is they must be really heavy - how do you manage to transport them around?
I`m a Vango fan, simply because I`ve owned several and they`ve never let me down. But that`s not to say they`re any better overall than many other tents. And there are trends in favourite tent manufacturers...used to be Vango, because of the Diabolos and Aspens coming on the market, this year it`s Outwell. Next year??? Who knows.
As Wildie says"Whatever rocks your boat". There`s so many variables to think about when choosing a tent, and quality of manufacture is pretty much the same over the top name brands.
We are have a Cabonon Aruba which i think is an excellant tent but i know some one who swears by the suncamp range it all boils down to own preference.
We love our Outwell Montana 6 and have ordered a Jersey pop up tent also by Outwell so that we can use it overnight on our way to and from our intended destination.
For Quality its got to be Coleman ( the old green range not the new blue cheap range ) For inovation and ease of pitching : Outwell For middle of the range durability :Vango

That's one way to put people off the Vango! How BORING it sounds!

Yeah...solid, reliable, trustworthy, dependable, sound, reputable, proven, boring old Vangos.
