Hi deciding whether or not to buy a table top fridge. Anybody got one, and is it really worth buying one, or should I spend my cash on something else. Also buying an EHU from Go Outdoors in Stockport 3 plug reduced to £59.99 that a good buy???? Any info appreciated thanks
Someone linked to one just recently.....we have a one of those husky drinks fridges...with the glass front door...looks good and gets used at home for drink....and as a camping fridge on holiday.....
------------- Its not the size of the tent...its how you pitch it..
Try Camperlands in Northenden, £54.99 and comes with free carrying bag Just bought one ourselves
We were also wondering regarding what to buy for a fridge ?? Do you go with 3 way fridge or a table top fridge, I think you need something called an inverter to use it but may be wrong its all rather confusing so hopefully someone will reply to this and let us know
just looked at ehc advice on here and they seem to suggest 30amp minimum and IP55, ours is 25 amp and IP44, not sure if this is good enough now, whats the one at go outdoors???
I have used a normal household table top fridge on ehu, and you don't need an inverter, you just plug it in to the socket. they work very well, everything was as cold as it should be., just like at home even in a very hot tent. I think it was about £100 , they are big though, almost the same width as your normal fridge, just shorter.
Yeah they keep stuff cold as they use a compresser for cooling....so regardless of ambient temps its gonna keep your food at the right temps unlike thermoelectric which is dependant on ambient temps...
Our husky fridge was only bought recently and cost us 79.99 from Asda.... Lidl currently have england ones for the same price.....

got a table top about the same size as those beer fridges, had no probs with it last year, just plugged it in and off it went. fine for our two week midsummer stay.
