Ah the question of "flaps in" or " flaps out"!
It may depend on whether there are also pegging loops on the flysheet edge - if you have them, they determine whether the flaps go in or out. For example, on our Vango Quest the pegging loops are on the inside of the storm flaps, so the flaps have to go outwards otherwise we can't peg the flysheet down properly!
