Got mine delivered on friday..... and put it straight away! VERY easy, and VERY big.... I was drooling over it too once i saw it and just knew it was the tent for us! We are not off camping until 19th July (husband in army so not easy to get away!) but we are a family of 4 (hopefully will increase to 5 or 6!) but my daughters are both under 2 years old so we will need a lot of space just for them and all their stuff!
Here's some instructions that were posted on here a while back, that we used rather that the ones supplied....
Get the poles out, there are four roof poles, they are linked curved ones, slot them together, making sure they are forming an arched curve (they can be put together the wrong way round which gives an S bend, which you don't want.)
- There are then 8 leg poles which are straight, slot these together and lay 4 on each side of the tarp. You will have a set of canopy poles left over.
- Lay the flysheet out on the tarp and find the front door, the windows are in the front and side. Get it in position. Open the front door.
- There are four sleeve channels on the roof.
- Feed all the roof poles through the sleeves
- Attach the legs to the roof poles, laying them on the ground and checking that the roof shape is arched not dipped.
- Starting from the back, with one person each side of the tent, put the pins on the bottom of the leg in the ring on the black webbing tension straps that run under the tent, have someone hold this section up, while the other person, pulls the guy ropes at the back of the tent, the ones nearest the roof, out and peg loosely, to hold the tent up.
- Peg the first pair or legs down, just loosely so you can adjust later, attach the poles to the flysheet with the velcro strips.
- Put the next pair of legs on, as before and pull them towards the front and peg these down .Do the same for all the legs.
- Pull the front of the tent up and peg the front guys out.
- The tent should now be standing.
- Go inside and have a look at the tension straps. They should be lying flat to the ground and in straight parallel lines.
- Adjust to get the poles and straps as straight and square as you can and the flysheet as taut as possible without straining it.
- Close the door, peg the flysheet out using all the loops and pegging points
- Once you are satisfied, peg everything down. Peg all the guy lines out
- Hang the bedroom inner, starting from the centre back of the tent is easiest
- Peg the corners of the inners down, and then peg the groundsheet down.
- There is a long narrow groundsheet included for the storage area behind the bedroom, it may be best to lay this out first so you get the bedroom inner in the right position
- Make sure you have no groundsheet or tarp sticking outside the bottom edges of the tent, as this would cause rain to run into the tent.
- There are flaps all the way around the bottom of the tent, these are pegged outside, not tucked in under the groundsheet.
- It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is, I have probably made it sound worse.
Open the booze.
Took me and my husband (him doing most of the work) about 40 minutes first time to put it up, but now how it goes up, it shouldnt take that long next time - only took 18 minutes to take it down!
Hope that helps x
