Last year, we had just pitched our small tent in the garden, when next-door-but-one's cat decided to shimmy up one side, leaving an interesting pattern of claw holes! It all happened in a flash. I don't personally think that cats and camping really go together; what do you do with the poor feline when you go out for the day? Take it to the beach?
We were at a site last year when the site owner was cutting the grass. A nearby caravanner rushed out, arms waving, requesting that he should not drive the lawnmower near to her van because he was frightening the two cats inside.
Not anti-cat, but anti cat owners who think that cats enjoy camping when they would surely be happier at home.
