Would have to agree with wildie's post above. We've just brought a Sunncamp Day Room and used it for the first time last week - bloomin' brilliant it was, too.

Also, I think that there are some campsite owners that won't accept gazebo's purely on the basis of how much damage they can cause if they get blown over by a gust of wind....

I back up Wildie / Vonnies comments - We've got an Outwell Oklahoma day tent which is solid as a rock in windy conditions - but a group camped next to us last week had a garden gazebo, all nicely pegged down, but a moderate breeze lifted it up and it was flapping around in a frightening way and started demolishing one of their tents.  As the group were out for the day I dismantled it before it could do any more damage.   When the family returned they thanked me for taking action but then straightened out the bent poles and put the damn thing up again !!   Thankfully they left the next morning.

Moral of the story ?    Get a day tent !!

Oh, the mesh sides of the Outwell are fine enough to absorb most of the wind, letting enough through for ventilation (we cook in ours) - just roll the covers down when it's wet.
