I just bought my tent, a lichfield, 6 man, for guess how much 6quid yes 6quid, got it off an auction, so in august its the big test, I am 16 and have never been camping before, so i am going to go somewhere near the coast and i might take a couple of friends, can anyone suggest a campsite in yorkshire a stonesthrow away from brid, or scarborough

There are loads of lovely sites, but you need to phone and check first as alot dont let you go if you dont have someone over 18 in your party and also single sex groups xx

Click on 'Camp site search' at the top of this page and see what you fancy then contact the site and confirm they will take your party (though think you might need to have someone over the age of 18 with you).

Money is probably tight but try to get hold of something to sleep on as you will get cold (even in summer) if you sleep on the floor.

Those roll up mats are cheap and will give you insulation. They are light as I expect you will be carrying all your stuff? On second thoughts maybe you will get a lift as a 6 person tent will be a challenge to carry! If so take your duvet to save on sleeping bags, unless you have already got one!
