I only have a polo. with no roofbox or trailer ( and i dont want one ) I have all the gear but need a tent that is of a good size ( stand up space and plenty of living space) that folds up small. there are 3 of us possibly 4. I dont want a vango venture want something slightly bigger. but that folds up small ( pack size)

Any ideas?

off to camperlands to be inspired now

I have friends who run  a Clio - and they manage to pack in a Montana 6 - no roof-rack - no trailer - just 3 of them though.. I think they keep everything else to a minimum.  Whichever tent you decide on you could always separate the different bits, pole, flysheet ( if separate) or inners into different bags and so make best of the space.

I have a Sunncamp Stratus 4 which id big enough to stand in but small enough to pack easily. As previously mentioned it might be all the other gear you take that consumes space!

How much are you prepare to pay?

Tents like a Robens Triple Dreamer pack down small (smaller than just about anything else), but are large inside - however, cost around £250.

Have you actually seen a Vango Venture 600DLX in the flesh ? cos a lot of people think it looks small in the pics on the web ,thats because everywhere uses the same pic and its a picture of the wrong blummin tent ,its a Vango Vanture 400 ,we use one regularly for 3 people and occasionally 4 no problems ,I thinks it would be unrealistic to expect anything bigger that is the same pack size tbh .

I did see a vango venture 600 at camperlands today and was pleasantly surprised  its seems wider than the 500. it is a possibility.
