Hello all

Myself and my partner what to buy a new tent. We are both tall so we need to get at least a 3/4 berth tent with some living space.

We love the design of the sunncamp evolution 400, but i have read that this leaks in a small amount of rainfall. I was wondering if anyone could recommend their tent that they have a present that is available to buy in the shops!

Look out for the "Hydrostatic Head" (HH) count on any tent you fancy.  Go for at least a HH of 3000.  This shoud keep out the rain.  The Outwell range are a good bet. Most of them have a HH of 5000.  Look at their range on the net - they have a good site. The Vango are also good tents.

Vango venture 500 I got a tall hubby and he loved this tent, till we had too many kids. Vango or montana 4 would give you lots of space and great head hight here outwell. I never had this tent but lots on here say they are brill.

As Kayscouch suggests Vango Venture 500s have an unusually long single bedroom (2.7m). Also look at an Easy Camp Torino 500, long bedroms but not that high insiude. 

Where do you live? (I am in Surrey) - I am am selling my 2005 Gelert Skyome (it is in the free adds), it has just about the largest single sleeping pod of 2.4m x 3.2m - which is why i got it.

we are in south yorkshire (rotherham) often shop here  both in sheffield store and wakefield shop as a great tent desplay.  

You want a tent like mine ! Its a Campus Sherpa 4, basically a simple tunnel tent. The bedroom is ample for me and my two young sons, and the living quarter is the same size as the bedroom but has 2 doorways and a window, so quite versatile.

I love this tent, it is easy to set up, just 3 poles, and I managed to pack it away in its bag all by myself (proud moment). It is easy to store, I stand it up on its end in the boot of the car, to make room for all the rest of the gear.
