According to the instructions with the tent the flaps go under the groundsheet, try telling the flaps to stay there tho! I have one of those guns that put eyelets in things, I was wondering about putting eyelets in them then peg the flaps down then put the ground sheet on top. Thing is has anyone actually done this? And... does it work!
I'd hate to start putting holes in the tent for nowt

Hi I've done this on my Vario 5 , was fed up of the wind blowing underneath.Put the eyelets in and get a cheap tarpauline from b&q as a second ground sheet then you can push pegs straight through that then through the eyelets.Proper ground sheet on top ! snug as a bug.......
Remember there's not a lot of give in this and one of my eyes wasn't in properly and now I have a minor repair.Do it properly and its a winner !!! happy days
hi fin,now i know you have a navada tent like me it makes sense that you gave good advice on my pins and poles problem.my question now is where do i get one of these eyelet guns and how much, limited budget you know.
Both would do the job ok I would think, I noticed the eyelets are cheap at this site. I found that was the only thing about the tent that did my head in.
Think what I might do is wait until it's next out and take the gun with me, peg the tent out then take my time and put eyelets in.

Yes, the whack-through plastic eyelets are much tougher as Skatty says, and they don`t have any potential rough bits to tear the flysheet when folded. I find it easier to first cut a tiny hole where I want them to go, as a guide, as most tent fabrics tend to be pretty tough.
