Hello

Brought this great tent a couple of weeks ago from e-awnings for £130 delivered !!.

Even though a newbie - managed to put the tent up, with relative ease after reading some of the threads on these message boards.  Many Thanks for all your help !

However  - there is a small metal tube (approx 6") that was in wth the tent poles - and I am at a complete loss as to what this item is ?

Appreciate anyone who can shed some light on what this tube is ?

Definately found that just erecting the tent: Grey poles first, then yellow poles after worked for me.

Best Regards.

JSB

Hi JSB

Thanks Skatty...we found that spare piece also but did not know what it was for...assumed it was going to be like IKEA furniture when you discover you have spare bits(missed) and the tent would fall down...so it is still in the bag where we kept it 'just in case'...

So now I know what it is for!!!  I will impress my OH next time we are taking the tent down...

Its probably a spare ferrule. If yo snap a pole, this can be slid into place over the break and taped securely as a "get you home" solution

There was one with the Coleman Bi-space I got recently. I kind of worked it out that it must be a peg puller cos it didn't seem to do anything else. Glad to have that confirmed.

The only thing about it though is that I guess it only works with the peculiar square headed metal pegs the Coleman tents come with.

Many Thanks - our 1st outting and the Columbia 10 was a great success.  The tent went up easy and the "peg puller" did it's job superb on leaving
