hi

i have just bought a 8 man tent which is about 24 to 25 feet long.

could anyone tell me if ther are any restrictions on sites about the size of the tent, also would it cost more for a pitch for larger tent.

There is a long list of sites accepting large tents in the sites section. Welcome to UKCS. Have fun with your new tent.

We have a large tent as well (24 foot long by 21 foot wide) and we have found a couple of sites who wanted to charge us slightly more, sometimes even the price of 2 pitches, but the vast majority of sites just charge the going rate. I am always honest about the size of the tent and haven`t had a problem yet.

The thread entitled `sites accepting large tents` is very useful and we have posted names of sites that will accept us on there as well.
