I am awaiting the delivery of my tent which we purchased mainly because how impressed we were with the assembly video.

Two questions though...

1, is it really that simple to assemble? Its one of the reasons we went for it, it looks a doddle compared to the vango we nearly bought.

2, They dont actually show them putting it back in the bag afterwards... does it fit easily? My Aldi one is till all over the place in the back of my car cos we couldnt fit it back in the bag.

Fantastic layout of everything though, we plan to use the porch for storage and cook outside.

its fairly easy to put up... you need to loosen the straps for the pins on one side, otherwise you'll struggle to get the pins into the poles.

Have a practise run before using it for the first time.. we did this in the garden (bit of a squeeze mind)

To get it in the bag.. open doors to let air out, and fold it into a long piece, slightly smaller than bag, and then roll, unroll, roll again and you should fit it in, instead of trying to lift it into the bag, put the bag on top and then roll them both over...

have fun............we love ours

hi bonus77 and welcome to the site

yes, it really is a good tent in every way, and easy to put up.when you get it, have a practice run at putting it up ( its even better if there are two of you) and have a good look to check for any problems.

it does go back in the bag, but with a struggle if all the air isnt out of it (it has a SIG so air gets trapped inside) just leave your doors open, whilst rolling. we roll ours twice, it doesnt take long and hey presto.....it fits!

hope you enjoy your new tent........we  ours

Like it... roll tent twice and roll it onto the suitcase itself. Excellent tips.

On another note... how does it perform in windy conditions? My Aldi one virtually snapped! but then again, i probably didnt pitch it correctly.

With regards putting the tent up, the method we use and it works for us is to:-

1 Lie the tent out on the ground and make sure all straps that are attached to guy points are loosened right off.

2 Peg it at the back corners.

3 Open a door slightly to allow air into the tent.

4 Insert the roof poles and connect the side poles with the bottom of the poles facing the front of the tent(roof poles towards the rear of tent).

5 When all poles are attached put the pins attached to ring and pin system into the bottom of the poles working on one set of poles at a time. Don't concern yourself with the 'C' shaped clips that attach the flysheet to the poles, these can be clipped into place when the tent is up.

6 At this point all poles should be lying on the tent material, properly connected together and ready to be lifted into place.

7 Starting from the back, ideally with one person on each side of the tent, lift the first pole into a vertical position then do the same with all other poles working towards the front.

8 Once this has been done and your tent has took its shape, close the door that was opened to allow air in.

9 Peg the front corner guys out to hold the tent in its upright position.

10 Peg out the rest of the tent and tighten any pegging points that have adjustable straps.

11 Enjoy your new tent.

My tuppenny's worth:

To put it away do the following (after poles removed of course!):

1. Unzip the front door to let the air out

2. Fold the tent lengthways

3. Fold the tent lengthways again - this means that all the pins will be on one side and should not damage the tent

4. Roll up the tent fairly tightly from the back (the air will be expelled from the front)

5. Once in a "swiss roll" shape, tie the two ribbons supplied with the tent around the roll as tight as possible

6. Plop it into bag - ensure that the straps can be accessed

7. Loosen the straps as much as possible, clip around swiss roll and then pull the straps as tight as you can

8. Zip it up
