I've just bough a Gas heater for £15 from our local camping shop. It runs off small gas cannisters. I have seen these on the internet for £65 at Aspinalls.

They get really warm and are a bargain!

the long cannister is also compatible with the single ring cooker well worth a dabble as one set of four gases gives you spares for each ......but come on you are going in july so you should not need a heater unless it turns really snotty at this time of year just go for extra layers .......hope you enjoy your trip happy trails

Cheers 'Minxie' How long does the gas last? I suppose its dependent on how much you use it?

I got this form an ebay seller.  I think quite a few people use them on here.  It's quite effective and very stable.. although you must remeber to push the handle back or it gets hot.  a single cannister lasts a few hours .   It's also the same as the one in Aspinalls, so if you can't find one locally.  Ours arrived within 2 days nad the sent a blue one as requested.

the cannisters last 2 1/2 hours on full pelt, and work really well.

it can be suprising how chilly it can get when the sun goes down, even in july

That is the exact one that I meant! and the cannisters were 4 for £5 so you paid exactly the same. They are well worth it! Well done.
