I ordered this tent the sunday before last. I suppose it's nothing you don't know already though but i'd post just in case.

In my email to them I asked if I could just go and collect my monty 4 from a blacks store (there's one 5 mins up the road). They haven't taken the money out of my account yet either.

Thanks for your enquiry.

Sorry for the delay with our response

The reason there is a delay with the order is because the item is actually out of stock at our warehouse. We were unaware of this when placing the order.

There are a couple of options. We could cancel your order and re-order the items that are in stock (this will be another 5 working days). We could cancel your order so you are free to purchase the item in store OR we can hang on to the order for you and fulfill delivery when we receive stock. We will do our best to have your order dispatched as soon as possible but unfortunately we cannot give an exact indication of when this will be.

Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I've emailed back asking for a date when they're expecting a delivery... and also asking if I go instore will I still get the £50 discount. I'm not holding my breath over this.

We're supposed to be going away the first week in august and wanted the tent asap so we could put it up & check it's all there! Aaaarrgghhhh!!!!

I also notice you can STILL purchase the monty 4 on their website and there's no "not in stock" message anywhere.

and the prices have gone up too. the monty 6 is back up to £329 on the website today, then has a £40 discount, making it £289, when I ordrered it 10 days ago it was £200.96 including delivery. so if you cancel your order and make a new one the price shoots up?

Wonder if they are just going to not supply the ones they sold for £200, seems they have stock somewhere, but they're having trouble locating it.

To say they were not aware they had no stock at the time of ordering is ridiculous. They are still taking orders now even though they have no stock and can't advise when they will have stock.

totally pd off with their lack of customer service and conflicting replies to queries

I've tried to get go outdoors to give me a price match but they checked & said they can't as it's out of stock at Blacks.

Am just waiting for world of camping to get back to me. They didn't ask where i'd seen that price, just what the best price is (£209.99 including the current £40 off).

I'm willing to exchange my £50 off for a £40 off as long as I get the tent!

Will keep you informed. :)

I also ordered a lamp which is probably in stock. Sorry, didn't mention that. I undersand it as they'll cancel my order of tent & lamp, then process an order of the lamp which will take 5 days.

I had to read it 3 or 4 times before I understood it myself!

Why not drop them an email? It might set your mind at rest? If there is a problem with stock it might push you up the list is you hassle them a bit........ maybe!!!

we only ordered it on sunday night so i'm trying to get the OH to be more patient. if we've heard nothing in the next 2 days then we'll definitely be getting on to them.

couldnt wait! just go of the phone to millets and they said thay were receving them 2morrow 28/06/06 and then sending out orders on thursday every one should receive them by tuesday. guess we will have to wait and see.
