Have any of you been solo camping? any tips, and what are the best site to go to for solo camping etc

Yes me and the Mrs went solo camping last year, great fun.

We were at Batcombe Vale campsite last year (in Somerset) and there were several solo campers there.

Do you mean camping alone?  I do this once or twice a week at the moment, it suits me as I can stay nearer my work and my wife isn't keen on camping.

I pick my site purely on location (near to where I'm going)  I don't need any facilities really so it makes it a whole lot easier.

Really enjoy reading your blog - very entertaining.  The shower idea sounds a lot of work - could you do a deal with the campsite for cheaper fees - say £5 per night midweek for a regular customer ?
