Hi, just been to our local camping shop and have been very tempted by the Sunncamp Oasis 600.  Anyone got any experience of this tent, how easy is it to put up etc. It looks great, tall bedrooms so no canvas flapping in your face at night etc.!

hi cant comment on the sunncamp can tell you that it is based on the vango aspen and as such i can comment on the style.

the style is based on a nomadic tents of asia they are extremely stable espeially in strong winds, the living space is vast we use the front door area as a kitchen and use the sided doors to come and go this means that in the evening you can zip the kitchen door and have an uncluttered living area, you dont say wether you need the 600 or 700 either way their is lots of room in the bedrooms

the main reason we chose the aspen over the oasis was a simple one really strength the aspen has a total pack weight of 45kg and the oasis is 356.kg(re:outdoor world.co.uk)and this is because the vango comes with "steel poles" but the oasis has "aluminium"poles

but i did love the colour of the oasis

you pays your money and you takes your choice the oasis will be a good tent  but i chose the extra strength of the aspen...... good luck and happy trails

got to http://outdoorworld.org.uk and go to tents by brand and select VANGO they are at the bottom of the scoll down and they come in 500/700 and also deluxe models  they have good picture and also a video link to watch for pitching instructions.i think that they a bit dear  but search the web and you wii find them a lot cheaper we got oursfrom a store based in essex sorry forgot web address happy searching

if weight is not an issue and you are a 2 season camper then it wont matter which one you choose but if you are looking to go earlier or latter in the season then steel poles may be worth considering let us know what you think also check out my gallery for a look at the aspen......cheers

Thanks Pegwil, youv'e given me more to think about now!!! We will look into both, just love the shape and the headroom in these tents.  We have a sunncamp Olympus and have been very pleased with it but our teenagers dont want to go with us this year so its just three of us so could do with something smaller!  Thanks for the advice.

Hi

We have a suncamp oasis 700. There's only two of us. I just like sapce and comfort. Got no compplaints about this tent at all. NIce to use easy to errect with only a little trouble from the fly sheet. Well worth the money.
