Does anyone have any experience of fitting airbeds into the small sleeping compartments of an Aspen 700?
I've not measured it myself, having only put it up once in the garden after we bought it, but the dimensions given are that the compartments are 135cm wide. All the airbeds I can find are stated as being 137cm wide .
Has anyone fitted airbeds in, and will I be able to 'encourage' a 137cm bed into the space? I've been looking at the Campingaz Double Quickbed as I like the idea of the double valve seal - having had too many nights waking up on a wafer thin, defalted airbed!!
Are you questioning whether to put a double airbed in the smaller single bedrooms or the big middle one??
The big bedroom will very comfortably accommodate a double airbed, we use the Coleman Dual Chamber ones (really great airbeds). We have also managed to get 2 childrens ready beds in the smaller bedroom (the one that has the wardrobe pole in) and we had in the left one, a camp bed for our son. I would say you certainly get singles in the smaller bedrooms but not to sure about doubles. The middle one......no problem.
If you were to open up the middle and the left bedroom into one huge bedroom, then yes' you'd easily get 2 x doubles in.
Yep, was thinking of getting a double into the small room on one side, putting our two small kids in there. Was hoping not to have to open up the area - need some time safe from them!!
We have self inflating mats in ours so they have a bit of room to stand up and get dressed ,but the airbeds did fit ,and they were the winde flock ones too not the thin rubber ones!
I thought I may be able to encourage it into the space by squishing. Thanks for putting my mind at rest.
I fear the real challenge will not be stopping them accidentally falling out, but keeping them in there when they are supposed to be going to sleep! We're not going for a couple weeks and they are both hyper already.
