Afternoon

does anyone know of any tent shows taking place in Devon & cornwall or camping shops that have a good range that are already up. 

I'm hoping someone will be able to help. I help at a local cub pack and next year we are planning to take them for a weeks camp. the problem we have is we think we will need new tents. We would like to see lots of different tents, but we only have the small tents on show in the shops in Plymouth.

I think you just missed a tent show, there was one last week at Exter racecource, It was put on by Taunton Leisure who also have a shop in exeter, this is their link

I havn't been to the shop so cannot comment on what they have on display, but I do remember visiting a small shop in union street who had a few tents on display up stairs, not sure if they are still there or not.

Other than than I think the nearest large show room would be davan, or highbridge caravans, I know they have a few on display.

 only shop that i know is Outdoor Experience at Ashburton on the main A30 Exeter - plymouth road, they do tents caravans awnings etc, they have a number of tents up to view,

Millets are advertising a tent show in Devon from 8th to 16th July - see http://www.millets.co.uk/millets.storefront/StoreEvents  It is at Exeter racecourse which is on the A38 Plymouth-Exeter road but before you get to Exeter.

As theclarkes says you can see some tents at Outdoor Experience in Ashburton on A38 between Plymouth and Exeter. Think they had an Aspen and an Indiana up when I last went but can't be certain.

Some of the tent deals on offer - tent plus sleeping bags work out ££well. Happy hunting.
