Hi

After weeks of searching I found my perfect tent.... The Outwell Montana 6, at an incredible price of £200 in a sale from Blacks online.  To cut a ong story short, they messed me around big time and now cannot supply the tent, and I am finding it difficult to find a reliable supplier for this tent in the South West so I am now looking at other alternatives.

I've seen some posts suggesting the Outwell Hartford XL, has a huge following (presummably positive) on this site, and so would like to ask for your opinion on the best option ... stick with finding a Montana, cut and run to the Hardford XL, or to look at other options such as the Khyam Brekenridge or Nebraska.

Like everyone, I want to make the right decision, and felt the Montana would be a sturdy and spacious tent, but I wonder whether the Hartford or Khyam, feel as spacious, and whether the bedrooms feel cramped.

thanks in advance

The Montana, Nebraska and Hartford/Brekenridge are very diferent style tents; with diferent set-ups: bedrooms next to each other or seporated, a dome living area or a square living area etc.

In the end, it comes down to which set up you prefer - they are all excellent tents (I personally would have no issue owning any of them - I have a dome and a montana and they are both good).

One thing you might want to consider is that the Montana and Nebraska are pitched as one or flysheeet first, which is helpful if raining. But in the end, it comes doen to what you like the feel of most (which want felt the most ocmortable when you stood in it?).

hi just used my hartford xl for first time and love it, but we are a couple, 2 large dogs, and small grandson. i would say xl would be great for say a couple and 2 kids, either give kids a pod each, or they can share one, and use third for storage as we did.

The beauty of this tent is, kids of any age can have own "room" and with sig, you can leave pod doors open to keep an eye on them. Dont think you would get 2 airbeds in one tho, a double or 2 mats in each only. We love ours, you could have a party in living area, and was so warm and cosy when all shut up for night.

Hey you guys

thanks for your feedback.  After all the reading, and having looked at various tents I have a real comfort factor with the Outwell brand.  I cant say i've ever heard of the make before but the tent quality looks good.  I've previously used small back packers tents typically from Vango but didn't feel the large family tent is their scene.

This weekend is crunch time and i'll take a final look and make my choice, but it sounds as if they're all good.

thanks again and happy camping
