I cant speek for other tents but we have an outwell hartford xl .it has a main dome with 3 bedrooms coming off that.we are a family 0f 6 .me ,OH,9,7,6,2 year olds.we find it great.we use 1 bedroom for us ,1 for kids and the 3rd is essential for putting the clothes in one side and the crisps, bisc and pop in etc,saves going back and forth to car in damp weather.me and OH find it easy to put up approx 45mins to 1 hr .like any tent it will take you slightly longer the first few times. a few dry runs in someones lawn always a good idea.we have found this tent great .hope this helps abit and happy camping
