To repeat what I said on the other post -

We have the Canyon 6 - there are four of us and we use it as a weekend tent - so the bigger Canyon 8 should give you plenty of room.

Have fun with your new tent - and I bet the girls end up loving camping !

Thanks Diane, not nice having a blue face eh? We bought this tent mainly for weekends anyway, so it looks like i didn't make a bad choice then! as for the girls, if i tell them teens aren't allowed, they'll want to come anyway. You know how strange teens can be!

By the way, is it easy to put up?

Hi Tricia -

Yes - we found the Canyon easy to put up .

One tip - once you get the flysheet over the main bedroom pod - secure the tie that goes around where the poles cross above the main bedroom. It makes it easier to line up the seams properly and peg out evenly.

We have a Coleman Canyon 8 for our weekend tent it is easy to erect and we only have 1 bedroom up. There is loads of space if you use it like this .We have 2 Adults and 2 children and we all sleep in the one pod.

Couldnt agree more about tying up the fly sheet as this does line it all up.

Putting up only takes about 30 mins with 2 of you
