In the manual it mentions that "some" tents may need the seams going over with the included tube and brush and also mentions if the seams have been taped it dosn't need the goop.
SO, does the Freelander need the seams painting with this stuff and if so what seams? Would have been nice if the instructions would have been a little more explicite.
We recently bought a freelander and after reading these boards, I decided to take a chance and pitch the tent without pre-sealing. We encountered wind and heavy rain but no leaks.
Once it's up, you can see a couple of seams that might benefit from sealing (mostly around the door and side windows), but given our experiences I wouldn't worry too much.
