 hello guys,

    I have just started camping with an inflatable double bed, (wimp, i know, but rollmats are rubbish!!) but have woke up both mornings with a damp patch on the bed where we've been laying, underneath the blanket we were laying on. now, we've not wet ourselves in the night and i don't think even i can dribble that much in one night, so is it some kind of condensation between our warm bodies and the cold ground? does anyone else have this problem? is there a way to cure it? thought of putting roll-mats under the blow-up beds for insulation,but that's be just more stuff to squeeze into the car!

Yup its just condensation ,dont worry about it ,it helps to put something between you and the airbed ,blanket fitted quilted cover ,picnic blanket or something .

But besides that just remember to air your tent out as soon as you wake up ,open all your flaps (ooer ! ) open doors and vents ,open sleeping bags ect ,and try not to cook inside the tent ,just makes things worse!

not really much use putting anything under the bed ,as you still need to be insulated from the cold air the airbed ( which gets cold from the air temp not just the ground temp )Better off putting it ontop

Just cut a piece to fit under your airbed and it keeps your bed dry !!

We have and it;s great. PLUS it folds up soooooooooo small !!!!!!!

The answer is: picnic rugs under the airbeds, caming mats on top of the airbeds, then quilted mattress protector, then sheet, then sleeping bag, then blanket. Simple!

Crikey, here`s me taking picnic blanket for underneath and a fleece blanket for on top with a fitted sheet to hold it in place and OH said I was extreme!

those aluminiumised camping mats under the airbed stopped condensation for us ,but had to put some strips of that non slip stuff you can get in rolls under the mats and between the mat and airbed to stop slip, sounds a faff but its quite simple
