Hi folks I see there are a lot of positive things said about the gelert quebec 8+4, however I dont seem to be able to find a good web site fully explaining its features...so can anyone help with the following please ?:
1.Windows...how many are there and are there fly screens on them or is it just down to the two roof lights, is it light n airy ?
2.Can it be put up easily by two people ?
3.How many doors ? and are there poles to make the door into a porch ?
4.Could I leave one of the inner 'bedrooms' off to give more living area ?
Thanks for any feedback,
Bob n Chris

No 1. 1 big one and 2 small ones in each pod, they all have outer flaps, fly screens and inner curtains.

No2.Yes and once you get the hang of it if there is no wind one person can put it up in an hour.

No3.2 Doors with fly screens and outer flaps and poles to make a porch.

No.4.No you cannot leave one of the inner bedrooms, they are sewn in,but they have big doors which you can pull back so you use as extra living area but the living area is quite large.

It is very airy when you open it all up,we just got one, used it once and we love it,would recommend them to anyone. The good quality bag it comes in has separate compartments for all the components of the tent, and easy to pack away.

We are taking it to Cornnwall next week.Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee.

ps.Out of all the tents we have had,its the best one yet.Gooooooooo on get one!!!!!!!

Do you think this tent would be too big just for weekends.

Looking for a smaller tent that I could pitch with just the help of my 2 daughters (14 & 12). I know there is a great choice but when buying the Wynnster I couldn't decide between these two and I eventually bought the Orion. If I end up with this one as well I will have got my own way AS USUAL!!!!

Its not really that I want a small tent just easier to pitch.

By this time next year I wouldn't be surprised if I owned 3 or 4 tents! One for me & daughters, One for when my son comes too, One for when OH can make it and maybe even a single for me to take time out on my own, now there's a thought!!

When we got the Quebec we sold two of our tents because we didnt think we would ever use them again after staying in the Quebec. We got it to go to Cornwall, but thaught we would have a weekend to try it out.First time putting it up and it was a doddle.Could not go back to a smaller tent,we still have a Sunncamp 3 man in case any of our family decide to join us,but there is plenty of room to accomodate them in Quebec,my son 11 yrs has a bedroom to himself and there is plenty of room for 2 double airbeds.Margie

I live near the United British Caravan display site near Newcastle and had a look at this particular tent.

I would recommend that you go for this tent as the bedrooms / living area space is brilliant. I am thinking of buying this model myself. It seems to be a really well thought out design and looks easy enough to erect.

I dont know what price you have been quoted, but they are selling it for £159 (see link) http://www.e-awnings.co.uk/

Good luck !

£159 that is good because the recommended retail price is £329,we got ours from a tent display,he was selling up and he let us have it for £100 we snapped his hand off,we took it down there and then.Went for the Royal Biarraitz originallybut when we seen this well we changed our mind.
