 after having borrowed my mums old frame tent for a couple of outings , we have decided to splash out and just bought a huge sunncamp olympic12, i love the space and the SIG, its just what we had in mind , but havnt pitched it yet ( we went to a shop where we could see it erected before buying)

 how hard is it going to be to put up ?? any good tips before i get entangled in it and make a complete mess of it

Welcome to UKCS and congrats on the purchase of your new tent !

We have the slightly smaller olympic - but the principal is the same. We found it remarkably easy to put up the first time ( and this was our very first tent ! ) T

he only bit I struggle with is pulling the flysheet over the inner tent because I'm quite short and the tent is VERY tall !!   It gets easier every time though. I

t is quite quick to put up - what takes the time is the pegging out - there are so many pegging points and we always use every one of them.
