Having just changed out tent to a Monty 6, just wondering if it's worth buying a canopy. My husband says leave it until next year but I'm worried that they'll no longer be available. Am I best to get one now rather thab later?

I'm sure they would still be available next year if you dont have the spare money to get one now.

Have you looked around for the best price? I think they start at about £60 or so.

Lodas of people are rating them highly so if you can afford it and you want one now, get it

Hi

I bought a canopy for our Monty 6 having seen it at a millets display. It really finishes the tent off and looks superb, as well as being quite large and being a good to sit under in sun or rain. Go for it girl!

Its great, we have the front and side canopy and would highly recommend either. We have used both, as when its sunny the front one is a good sun shade and when its rainy the side one shelters you (depending on the wind).

Have a look at my profile for pics.

Thankyou for all your replies.

Gorgeous baby Minxie! The canopy's look great, now to convince my husband that we do need to buy now for our next two camping trips.

Thanks

Ellie x

Thanks Ellie, he is a cutie.

You need to say to hubby "I have been on UKCS and the canopy has been highly recommended, it makes the tent look so stylish, just imagine on a day like today sitting out having a beer etc etc............."

Our canopy has already paid for itself in the few times that we have used it. Let us know if he gives in!!!

Will the monty 6 still fit onto the average pitch even with both canopies? We defintely  want the front canopy but the side one looks good too.

I have only camped at sites that don't have designated pitch sizes so I can't really advise. The side canopy doesn't really take up that much space tho as it tapers down at the sides. Sorry I can't be of any further help.

Thankyou all for your replies. I ordered the canopy yesterday from Go Outdoors at £69. At least now we have got it guaranteed not to need it!
