i try and get away with the tent every weekend in the summer months, But tend to go to the camp sites i have been to in the past,Blair castle, thurston manor, tantallon.
So now my problem is trying to find a new place to explore with my kids, anybody got any good sites we can try out??
You, like me live in Scotland and I would highly recommend Dunkeld.
Superb site, great for the kids, right by the river Tay and only a 5 minute walk from the center of the village of Dunkeld where there is loads to do, loads of water activities, we went White Water rafting..
The search on here is pretty good, and I like to browse the AA Guide. I do think its hard though, you tend to need a pretty good idea of where you want to go.
it depends how far you want to travel birch bank farm in chester is a small campsite but nice , elm cottage a few miles up a good site , red bank farm morecombe is really good , check them out they all have there own web sites hope this helps dave

Have you tried the Glen Nevis site at Fort William? Plenty of places around there to take the kids, including a boat trip on Loch Linnhe to see the seals or a visit to the distillery. Nice bar and restaurant on the site, away from the camping area. Might be worth giving the cable car a miss until they find the cause of accident last week.
