hiya, im a newbie on here but not a newbie to camping, ive just won a sunncamp chateau on ebay and am collecting it tonght,  any one any ideas on how long they take to put up, the space is no problem as my gardens huge,   i had a tent similar a few year ao a sunncamp villa i think  sleeping 4 the chateau sleps 6 i think and seems to have a larger living space alltogether,

also will sites charge for 1 pitch or 2 with this one, we are of to pooley bridge park foot in august for a week, and hope to use this tent will this be ok on there site does anyone know,? our other tent is a vango venture 500

We have had a Sunncamp Chateau 6 berth for about 7 years now and from arrival on site to sitting down with the first beer takes us about an hour and a half to two hours. as yet we have never been to a site that has charged us for two pitches, there are bigger dome and tunnel tents around. As far as the living space goes we have managed to squeeze in four adults and four kids sitting down to eat. We are sure that you will have a great time camping in it.

We used to have the Chateau and now have the Palace (successor to the Manoir which itself was the successor to the Chateau - but basically the same tent).

Once you've got your poles colour coded you can have the frame and canvas up in 25 minutes. It's all the other stuff that seems to take ages; putting up the inner tents, clipping on the ceiling liner, clipping on the curtains laying out the groundsheet, erecting the camp kitchen etc!!!!!

It's a great tent for space. I know Cabanons have a better build quality but i reckon the Chateau/Manoir/Palace is a better overall size and layout.

There are 4 of us and we love the space.

If you can get the sun canopy as well then you will be well made up.

thanks to all for the input re the sunncamp chateau,, was gonna have a go at putting tent up today, but hubbys at work and sons are out so will have to wait a few days, need a trial run before we go to pooley bridge,
