Hi

We are seriously considering this tent for our small family (2 adults, 1 10 yr old) but want something spacious with room to take friends, reasonably easy to put up and stay up!!

Anyone got any feedback on this tent - or can recommend something better?

Thanks!

I would also like to ask this same question. At the moment we have a Royal Sassari 6 which has a SIG but the last time we put the tent away in the rain it was a nightmare. Would we benefit from buying a Khyam Nebraska?

Sorry only seen it at the Wokingham show (looked OK), not seen any on a site - not a bad thing, just not bumped into one thats all.

At the time I just thought, possibly incorrectly, "aha, a Breckenridge without the SIG". (but you get to put it up flysheet first, unlike the Breckenridge.

If it was me, I would also look at an Outwell Nebraska and Sunncamp Vario, where I could "have my cake and eat it" - i.e. a full SIG and pitched flysheet first.

Hi

We have a Khyam Arizona, which is the next size down from the Nebraska. I can highly recomend the Arizona, easy to put up and down, plenty of space for a family of 4 and has held up well to some rough weather on our last trip

We find that Khyam's seperate footprint ground sheet to be very easy to use and the flysheet first erection is useful in bad weather, always tucking the mud wall under the ground sheet. The only down side, where IMHO a SIG would be better (for us) is on a sloping pitch in driving rain.

Can't comment specifically on the Nebraska as I have never seen one errected, either in stores or on camp sites.

Hi Huw

You have the very tent I am pretty much decided upon - I have been looking and looking for a good priced larger tent - we currently have a 2 bedroom tent and after the kids woke everyone around us at 3:15am one morning - because........"SHE ROLLED TAKES UP TO MUCH ROOM" and then the usually sibling scrap we KNEW that we needed to get a tent with at least 3 bedrooms.  The Arizona seems to fit the bill - are there any negatives you've found with this tent? other than the groundsheet you've mentioned - I don't like SIG so it isn't an issue for me - my children have fallen over in and out of SIG's too often for us to have one.

Pippa

Hi Pippa

So far so good with the Arizona
Originally we were going to get a Indiana type tent, but my wife decided she wanted a porch area, so we got the Arizona.

On reflection we're glad that we did get it. The Large central dome gives a spacious feeling and is very light. The 3 bedroom pods are great for a family of 4, our kids really like having their own room, plus it gives some scope for them to invite friends.

I really like some of the features of the tent, like organizer pockets on the inside and outer (door side) of each bedroom pod. Mulitple hanging rings in the bedroom pods. Large front and rear sun canopys, ideal for cooking in etc.

Our last trip gave the tent a tough test, strong winds and heavy rain. No problems and no leaks

It goes up flysheet first in about 45 minutes from start to finish. The footprint ground sheet is fine.

The only negative points for me are the mud walls on the front and rear doors, which can't be tucked under the groundsheet because it is pegged. Appart from that we are happy.

Hope that helps.
