Hi Guys I'm hoping you can help me out on this one, we have a coleman weather master which isn't standing up to rain anymore, we have bought some seam sealer and it is now in a friends garden waiting for us to put the sealer on.

Do we have to take off the old sealent first or just go over it with the new one? it isn't a tape we have but a roll on.

I know we have to leave it on for 24-48 hours to ensure its dry before we pack away the tent.

are your seams taped on the inside? if not then yes you do have to remove the old stuff prior to putting on the new.i asked his question myself and it has to go on the inside forcing it onto the pin holes

Yes the seams are taped on the inside. It says on the seam sealent we have to use inside but still not sure if I have to remove all the old stuff.

personally i would seam seal it on the outside then after removing all the old stuff.realy if its taped seams it shouldnt need doing but i have done one of mine with taped seams.are you sure its the seams and tent may need a clean then re proofing?

Its definately the seams, you can see where its coming off, mainly around the windows where the waters getting in. i think we'll just seam seal the ones that are leaking otherwise it will be a nightmare of a job to remove every seam.

dont use that graingers seem sealer though  ,its rubbish ,goes yellow and cracks,had some on my last tent and after a season hasd to scrape it off and put something else on
