Hi
Anyone else got one of these tents. Just want to ask a couple of simple questions.
1. Did it come with a repair kit?
2. Have you managed to fit the vent poless as described on the peice of paper they call instructions?
3. How does it handle in stormy weather?

Have done a couple of trial pitches and all went ok apart from the vent poles. The only thing that concerned me even thought the tent came boxed and sealed in plastic bag is that the poles appeared to be 'dirty'when I first removed from the bag

Thanks in advance for anyone that can answer any of my questions

Nick

Hi there Forster!

I bought one of these yesterday and I agree the instructions are amusing to say the least! I didnt get a repair kit but after about 2 hours of searching I found the little black vent poles go in to sleeves in the bedroom ventilation windows!

I would presume that you put these in first when you lay the tent out!

Hope this helps a bit

all the best Mark

Hi
Thanks for the reply Mark
We are off next week for the first time in ours. Have had 2 trial runs at pitching and can put it up in just over half an hour minus pegging out the guys. Cannot get the vent poles to fit in the sleeves though, have to put through the loop in the middle? Its as if they are slighty too long.(broke one trying to bend it to fit)

Oooer!

I didnt have any problem with mine they went in ok! just slid it through the sleeve at the bottom of the vent and then tucked the ends into the little pocket! Mind you it would help if the instructions where instructive instead of gibberish!

Mark

Oh also!

The poles for mine were dirty too! At first I thought it had been used so it must just be the way they come!

Enjoy next week.

Well, seeing as today was a fine evening I decided to do a trial pitch of the inner section. i also found the poles 'dirty' but on closer inspection I think that this graphite either left over from the maufacturing process or to aid insertion into the sleves first time. Either way it soon disappeared. Big inside isn't it !. took me about 30 mins without reading the instructions. Its pretty intutive how it goes up. Like the floor level air vents, shoud keep it nice & cool on hot days. the little zipped opening for EHU is nice touch. Can't wait to use it in ernest now.

Smee193 and dargha
How did you get on with your tents?
Used mine 3 times recently and had no issues and last weekend stood up well to the rain and wind.
