Just remember small kids soon turn into large kids! We've got the Monty 12 with 3 pre-teens and would probably struggle in a Monty 6 - mind you we are one of the 'kitchen sink' breed of campers - with an Oklahoma day-tent too.
We put two girls in one large pod, me and OH in another, son in smaller pod, and other small pod is used for storage/loo etc.
