Well we had our first real proper outing this week. Packed up the kids, tent, dog and all and merrily we drove to Angelsy.

Tent was fab loads fo room easy to pitch, kids loved it dog never been better behaved, and someone even said this morning as I was walking her they didn`t know we had a dog with us, so that`s good you now what little terriers can be like. lol.

the site was on a nice slope, 1st night big child rolled on top of little child at 2am!! so swapped them round then little child rolled over big child!! can`t win. Every time you put something on the table  it rolled across it. No I wasn`t drunk this really did happen.

Also noticed that shower, toilets and washing up facilities were closer to the statcic caravans rather than near the camping area. Just wondered is this a common thing or were we just unlucky?

Anyway we had a good time and are now planning the next adventure!!!

what you do often find is that at certain sites we tenters are considered the poor relations and the vabs are generally nearer the toilet blocks ....bugs me as most of them have loos anyway.............the upside of this is that you tend to get a more secluded pitch and dont have to worry as you walk past the vanners(not all of you but most) all sat inside at 8.00 watching eastenders leaving a beautiful evening all to ourselves (if it does not rain).......happy trails

(oh and p.s. get a bucket)

We have just returned from our first camping holiday and I was appalled to see a camper two  down from our tent throwing the contents of her bucket in the hedge!!!!

Well done - glad it went ok. The slope issue is one to watch out for, sometimes you need to pitch your tent with this in mind, so that your bedrooms are placed in such a way that everyone can lies so that their head are pointing UP the slope (This should be possible in your Pegasus though with some tent with bedrooms coming off at all angles it won't be). This way, you may slide down the bed a little in the night, but no one should be squashing anyone else!

This issue about the location of the tent pitches in relation to the facilities does crop up I am afraid - from a business point of view, statics and touring caravans are the more lucrative customers so they can get preferential positions on some sites. It's daft really, seeing as they have bathroom facilities on board and its us tenters who actually need to use the site facilities!
