Hi, i'm new to this excellent site so be gentle with me!

I go motorbike racing and am starting to camp for a couple of nights Max at the circuit (well maybe 3) i borrowed a small 2 man miget? tent last weekend and thoroghly enjoyed myself so am looking to buy myself a tent, as its only for a couple of days head height isn't to much of an issue.

i've looked at the Easy camp Torino 300, the Khyam Calgary 3 but this caught my eye http://www.blacks.co.uk/blacks.storefront/Product.aspx?CS_ProductID=094702(BLG+Base+Catalog)&CatalogNavigationBreadCrumbs=Blacks+Summer+Virtual%3bBLK+SS06+Tents+and+Camping+Gear(BLG+Base+Catalog)%3bBLK+SS06+3+to+4+Person+Tents(BLG+Base+Catalog)

i'm not to worried about the design but does this look a better buy than the other two? does anybody have any experience with any of these tents? all help appricated.

Oh and i have a budget of around £50 for the tent

Hi & welcome to the forum Chris  Your reason for camping sounds familiar - we're speedway supporters. We used to travel as far as Glasgow (from Coventry) to watch a 2 hour meeting & then drive home the same evening. Camping has made our 'away meetings' so much more enjoyable and stress-free.

I've got no experience of any of these three tents, but looking at the spec I'd say the Blacks tent is far better, if you can put up with the fishes

Both of the others are pitched 'inner tent first', so if the weather is wet then so is your inner tent! The Blacks pitches fly sheet first, so you can fix your nice dry inner tent in afterwards.

Also the Torino & Calgary are both 2000 hydrostatic head, whereas the Blacks is 3000, which means that it will take more rainfall without leaking.

This is an awesome little tent that doesnt take up too much room on a bike.

Outdoor Revolution VRX 330s

Saw a biker pitch one of these in a howling gale on his own. I was so impressed I went and bought a bigger one of the same design.

If you want to save on cash and keep the weight and pack size down (which would be useful travelling on a bike!), this site has a couple of tents that are same design to the one your looking at:
