Hi,
I'm looking for anyone who knows how to pitch the older Sunncamp Tourist Plus tent, previous to the XP series. I have no instructions, but I nearly got it right. The poles are colour-coded to the tunnels on the inner: A yellow pole, two green poles and two extra-long black poles. There doesn't seem to be a pole-sleeve for one of the black poles. Is this likely to be a spare? On the other hand, the tent shape isn't quite right, possibly because I haven't got the pole-ends in the correct attachment points at edges of the inner. Some of the pole-ends seem to fit into little fabric pockets, but some of the pole-ends appear to fit onto little pins or keys that are on 'key-rings'sewn onto the edges of the flysheet. After a major struggle, the tent was up, but misshapen. I've camped before, but however I attach the pole-ends, it doesn't seem right. The little webbing 'pockets' never seem to hold the pole-ends securely, either. Does anyone have any clues, please?
A scan of the instructions or just advice would be helpful. I need to use the tent this week.
This dome tent has central entry via a porch with groundsheet, and the bedrooms are to the left and right. It can hold up to 6 people 2 and 2 and 2, if you include the living area.
It's very similar to the Sunncamp Tourist XP tent of 2005 on this page:
www.outdooraction.co.uk/acatalog/SUNNCAMP_CLEARANCE_TENTS.html
I found instructions on the Sunncamp website here:
www.sunnflair.com/instruction_pdfs/Tourist.pdf
but they are not clear - e.g. what on earth are the 'aluminium legs' and only one short porch rod is mentioned, but nothing more said about what do with it.
Any help welcomed!
Thanks,
Centrepull
