hi all just bought this tent for our first camping trip in a gang! could anybody advice us if we will be charged more because of the size or is it a standard rate on campsites?

Welcome to UKCS

It would pay to enquire with a campsite on booking if they charge for large tents, I may be wrong but I believe that 9m is an acceptable pitch size.

I have just bought a larger tent than the pro-action one and booked in a site with no problems. I just told them the size and they made sure they had a big enough pitch, which did'nt cost any more money.

hi jody, you and me both!  we bought this tent at the weekend too, and now we're panicking about the sheer size of it.  we got it because we've 3 kids between us who don't get on well enough to be trusted to squash up in a room together  OH and I are trying it out in a couple of weeks - god help us to manage it on our own and PLEASE no rain for our first time!

we have always had large tents and have never had any problems ( yet! ). As long as you let the sites know they should be able to accomodate you.

We've booked our first one, and i said we've a huge tent, the lady said "no problem" so all should be ok (as long as we can get the blimmin thing up!)
