Being only 5ft 1 a 6ft son helps!  Sorry the advice isn't too practical though.  We have the same problem when it's just me and the oh, so would be interested to find out ourselves.

hi

we carry two of these http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/invt/25297, hook them on two peg loops and walk flysheet over at each end, remember to put a couple of pegs in front to stop the whole thing following over.

We have also used these in past as temp flag poles, makeshift washing lines, propping up porch doors ect, we got ours in poundstretcher for a couple of quid,so i wouldnt pay this price for them, check local market, poundshops etc.

Hi, I have only erected the tent twice to date. the first time with difficulty like yourselves and the second time a doddle.........Spread inner tent and install poles, then lay outer on top and position centrally. It was no harder to lift the inner tent afterwards. Job done.    This also helps if setting up in rain as the inner wont get wet for as long. I feel putting the outer on 2nd when Inner is erected will eventually result is a seam rip especially when rushing in the rain.

Good Luck!
