Went camping last weekend and tripped coming out of the bedroom, pulled the seam off the tent!!! Repaired it with tenacious tape, looks like new, has any body else used this great piece of kit?

I bought some of this stuff for emergency repairs - not needed it yet for the tent but it fixed the paddling pool leak that is underwater really well.

hi yes its good stuff ,we had 10 red hot days in july in north devon in our diablo 600 our son came in the tent not seeing that the black fly screen was closed he tried to get through the door which was zipped up fell down onto door which in turn pulled the inner tent away from the fly sheet,something had to give and we ended up with a 2 1/2 ft tear down the fly sheet seam.Did quick repair with good old gaffer tape when we got home we got some of the Mcnett Tenacious tape (£4.00 50cm x7.5cm) brought tear together and stuck on both sides (although i think just repairing outside would have been enough).Looks a very strong repair and with the tape being clear it is not noticeable ,i thought our tent was a gonner but lives to have another holl.

no i got mine from our nearest CCC Outdoors (Mitchells of Wakefield),if a big tear is being repaired i think its easier to soften it up with hair dryer first

I have used spinnaker repair tape,you can get it from chandlers,it is good stuff,they use it for repairing sails, I got some here  http://www.marinemegastore.com/jump/0/cat_id//product-product-SEA_51_07.htm
