Hi all , well we did it lol we borrowed my mum in laws tent and went to norfolk for 5 days .Tent was a bit small had 3 bedrooms but no room to sit in and we had a massive storm one night!  We are now looking to buy a tent and i think i like the dome tents but there is five of us so i need at least 3 bedrooms and a big living area with a slight porch that we can sit in, can anyone advise on a good tent that will stand up to rain, storms ect.

PS loved it so much we are going back on 13th this month but got to use small tent again

if you can get one, try looking around a camping shop that has tents erected. Have a really good look inside, take the kids (or whoever is going) and ask one of them if they can lie down comfortably in the 'bedrooms'. Also make sure you have enough headroom, there is nothing worse than stooping for days at a time!!

Happy hunting!

You need to see them pitched to make an informed choice. Have you got a local store you can look round?

Hi jules34uk and welcome to UKCS. As mentioned in previous posts you need to go and visit as many camping shops with tent displays as possible. Make a list of what you need from your tent before you go, as you will be bewildered at the amount of tents available. You have some good shops in essex (pj camping, camping and general). Good luck and welcome to this highly addictive hobby and site.
