are we mad or what!!

We are going camping in a weeks time, we've been before quite a few times but this time we're taking the dog and we have a 7 week old as well as the rest of us [4 lads age 15,12,10 and 7] and us  two adults!! never been camping with a young baby or our rescued dog [we've only had him 6 mounths]!!

any tips anyone?

Do we take our new bigger tent or our old tried and tested 8 berth tunnel tent?

We havent got an EHU should we get one?

Should we sleep our baby in his pram or will he be safe on an airbed?

So many questions! anybody any thoughts

And do you think we'll have fun!!!

We took our youngest who is now 12 when he was about 8 weeks old camping in scotland, with our 2 other sons who were 9&8 and a mad springer!!Just go enjoy yourselves!!Sam slept in his carrycot as we took his pram and it lifted off,bit more snug and warm for him than pushchair.Saying that equipment has changed alot since he was a babe!Just relax, the older kids will hopefully wear each other out .Have a good time.

A screw in peg for the dog lead and a windbreak so you can screen him off, in case he decides to bark at every one who passes the tent might help.

We put our baby on the airbed with us, we don't like sleeping bags, so put an opened out sleeping bag under us and a duvet over us, but our baby slept in bed with us at home too, so we never had any problem with it.

I'd take the bigger tent. A dog and new baby plus all the babys gear will take up more room.

Will you have Fun? it'll be hilarious. You know you love camping already, you'll have a great time.

Use the yellow search button at the top of the page, put in Babies, and Dogs, theres loads of useful tips there from previous questions.
